In recent years, this venerable 1983 Nelson Marek 36 vessel has delivered some outstanding race results in the California Yacht Club Sunset Series. The vessel’s history goes back to the Lipton Cup in 1984.  Built by a very skilled craftsman in Laguna Canyon/Orange County, the hull is constructed of cold-molded mahogony plywood with polyester resin. A new sprayed racing bottom was applied in May 2021. The mast is a custom triple spreader rig built by Forespar. It is offered with a full inventory of sails. Brand new Navtec Hayn Rod Rigging made by Sea Tek in November of 2018. The engine is a Universal 5424 24 horsepower diesel.
