Description
The Hunter 30, 1989 model is a refreshing improvement on most other 30′ sailboats built in the late 80’s and 90’s. The walk-through transom, with improved convenience and safety, was initiated in the US by Hunter in the mid 90’s. This improves accessibility to the cockpit both on land and at sea, particularly at Catalina Island getting on and off a dinghy. The fractional rig allows for easier and more efficient sailing. Almost all of your current sailboats are now using fraction rig sailplans. This is a must-see, particularly before you buy a Catalina 30.
Now available for purchase, this 1989 Hunter 30-2 has been impressively maintained, is clean inside and out, and has low engine hours. Includes main and headsail, aluminum extrusion mast with double spreader, Harken MKI headsail fuller, lazy jack, Schaefer H-Tack traveler, four winches. Blue canvas dodger with isinglass, additional mainsail cover, and large canvas boat cover are also included. Also included (but not shown in photo) are the galley table and its support pedestal, and the cockpit collapsible table, and a butane BBQ that mounts to the rail.
The clean cabin includes galley, two berths, and head.
Powered by 16 HP Yanmar diesel with low 200 hours. Edson outboard mount, stainless steel swim ladder, port, starboard or transom access.
