Description

2015 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 409

500Ah Lithium Batteries • 800W Solar • Watermaker • Bow Thruster • Offshore Equipped

Built for extended cruising, this 2015 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 409 has been extensively upgraded to support long-range travel and self-sufficient living aboard. Highlights include a 500Ah lithium battery bank, 800 watts of solar power, an inverter system, watermaker, bow thruster, and modern B&G electronics.

A key advantage of this yacht is its ability to operate independently while away from the dock. The onboard electrical system is designed to power the watermaker, microwave, coffee maker, entertainment equipment, and other onboard appliances without relying on shore power or a generator. According to the owner, the boat has not been connected to shore power since 2022, demonstrating the capability of its onboard energy system.

Designed by Philippe Briand, the Sun Odyssey 409 is recognized for blending capable sailing performance with comfortable cruising accommodations. Its efficient sail plan, spacious cockpit, and well-planned interior make it suitable for coastal cruising, island hopping, extended voyages, and offshore passagemaking.
